“At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us”

Licensed Professional Counselor
Nationally Certified Counselor
I am a licensed professional counselor specializing in the treatment of adolescents and young adults. I received a Bachelor’s degree from Monmouth University in 2001. After graduation I became an elementary school teacher at Jennie Dean Elementary School until completing my Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Marymount University in 2007. I have had specialized training in childhood anxiety disorders, autistic spectrum disorders, family systems, and behavioral therapy. I opened Bright Horizons Counseling Services to focus on providing therapy to the vastly under-served child and adolescent population. This vision has now expanded into a multi-dimensional counseling practice that strives to meet the needs of everyone in our community by offering a variety of counselors with diverse backgrounds and specialties.
I specialize in treatment related to anxiety, depression, adjustment to life changes, and family issues. I especially enjoy working with the young adult female population and assisting individuals in establishing their identity and reaching life goals.
HOW I HELP
I provide a warm environment in which you can safely identify and explore the issues that may be getting in the way of living the life you want. My goal is to help provide you with the insight and tools you need to move beyond your old, limiting beliefs and behaviors and promote self awareness, growth, and to build upon your strengths. I can also help you identify unhealthy coping mechanisms and replace them with adaptive coping skills.
MORE ABOUT ME
When not working with clients, I enjoy hiking, exercising, cooking, reading, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
