For more than twenty years. Kristin has worked in the K-12 education setting. She has been a classroom teacher at the elementary, middle, and high school levels, student support team chair, and literacy specialist and coach. She specialized in optimizing the general education setting and instruction for the needs of all students, including those with disabilities. As a literacy specialist, Kristin is experienced in identifying and remediating issues with developing age-appropriate reading and writing skills.
Kristin specializes in helping families identify solutions to educational challenges ranging from difficulty with specific skills or subject matter to overall study and organizational habits. She works directly with students to develop the needed skills that support improved school performance.
Kristin also works with the local school systems to formulate and implement effective instruction and behavior intervention plans, including 504 plans and IEPs for her clients. She helps families navigate the special education process and serves as an advocate for your child’s needs.
