Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”

I recieved my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Medaille College in Buffalo, NY. I have had multiple trainings in treating the LGBTQ+ population, as well as trainings regarding the treatment of anxiety and depression in children and adolescents. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Virginia and also a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York.
I specialize in the treatment of adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety and other mood disorders specifically within large transitions in life as well as postpartum and perinatal mental health issues. I have a passion for working with the LGBTQ+ population and helping them with their journey. I also enjoy working with those transitioning into and out of college/workforce and working to creating long and short term goals.
HOW I HELP
I find that the counselor/client relationship is crucial in the therapeutic process, therefore I spend a great deal of time getting to know the client’s goals, values, and interests in and out of session. I concentrate on moving forward and learning from the past. I also use a great deal of CBT methods to help change patterns of thinking and to help prepare for mental health struggles in the future. I am realistic about how the world should work, prepareing my clients to feel as thought they are capable of managing all experiences on theri own at the end of treatment.
MORE ABOUT ME
When not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my young children, being outside, traveling, and gaining new experiences, all with my family.
