Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass; it’s about learning how to dance in the rain.”
NADIA SPEZIALE, LPC
I received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from The College at Brockport in Brockport, NY, followed by a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Medaille College in Buffalo, NY.
I specialize in the treatment of anxiety-related disorders, including OCD, depression, and mood disorders as well as issues related to sexual identity including body dysphoria. I also work extensively with clients navigating life transitions, postpartum changes, and issues related to trauma.
HOW I HELP
I encourage my clients to focus on establishing goals towards creating change and personal growth in their lives that best fits them. I also find self-care and self-exploration a large part of the therapeutic process and feel this is where we drive the change we are seeking. With my clients, we will explore where you currently are in your life, process feelings and, start the journey to where you want to be. I work with teens, young adults and adults who are looking to improve quality of life, develop a better sense of themselves, and minimize those negative day to day symptoms that are preventing you from being the best person you can be.
MORE ABOUT ME
When not working with clients, I enjoy spending time with my young children, being outside, traveling, and gaining new experiences, all with my family.
