Teresa is a counseling resident specializing in the treatment of children, adolescents, and young adults. Teresa received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Sam Houston State University in Texas and her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas in San Antonio. She has experience in the private setting where she provided services for children who have Autism from all different areas of the spectrum. She also has experience in the elementary and middle school setting where she provided counseling services to children who struggled with ADHD, anxiety, mood disorders, self-esteem, social skills, divorce, and others. She has been working with children for about three years and in all settings, she led very play therapy focus sessions. She is very passionate about play therapy because she believes that play is the child’s language and toys are the child’s words!
